Build-Yer-Own Omelet

Create your favorite omelette! Start by choosing a cheese: American, Pepper jack, Cheddar, Swiss, Cheez Whiz, Feta or Bleu Cheese. Then, add a little something extra by choosing your meat: sausage, bacon, spam or ham. Add other ingredients for 50¢ each such as onion, green pepper, jalapeno, mushrooms, Habanero or Serrano peppers, tomato, spinach or red onions.

Homestyle

Jason-Tara-Beam-Roadhouse-Diner-PhotoThe Roadhouse Diner on 15th street is a Great Falls landmark, and most people in town know where it is, simply by saying “the log cabin restaurant”. I grew up in the neighborhood and walked there for lunch with my grandmother when it was the original Pine Cone Patio in the late 70’s/early 80’s.  It was home to several restaurants since then, and – miraculously – much of the decor has survived a variety of owners, and it’s unique architecture has ingrained itself onto the minds of everyone in the community who drives by it.

We were both born and raised in Great Falls, and we believe in supporting the community, looking to local growers and vendors for our foods whenever possible. We don’t just love food – we love serving quality food, as well as taking pride in how we make it. It’s more than just having a truck deliver supplies every week – it’s about finding the right vendors that offer the best ingredients for our recipes and expending the extra effort to put together something truly unique that can’t be found anywhere else.

We believe that our customers can taste the difference – that’s why we make many things in-house, prep fresh food every day, and never buy anything frozen. We want to serve the finest food to our customers, and we are thankful to be a locally-owned business in this community. We’re not a fast food joint, not a mass production operation, but a place that you can make your own, stay awhile and enjoy the food.

We are a mom-and-pop restaurant. We would love to be open seven days a week, all through dinner – it’s what we aspire to do for our customers, but until we can make that transition, we have limited hours.

We want to give our customers the best burger experience they could get, from first bite to last. That’s why we grind our beef nearly every day and serve it up fresh, never frozen. The best part? Your beef comes from the same animal. Not bits and pieces mushed together – we grind from one cut of beef at a time – we never mix our meat. Each grind is different, but we try to maintain an 80/20 ratio in our meat. We top it all off with quality products and bread harvested/baked right here in Montana. Our burgers are cooked Medium to Medium-Well which will usually have some pinkness in the middle and cooked to an internal temperatureof 160°.

Our hand-cut fries and other items are also house-made. Please understand that all of these things we love to do by hand are labor-intensive and require time. We’re not a fast food joint, we’re a good food joint. Our job is to make you great food that you will want to come back for – and while we strive to get everyone’s order done in a timely fashion, we don’t want to sacrifice quality for expediency – so we will occasionally have a wait time, which our waitstaff will always let you know.

We believe good food combines fresh ingredients with quality – giving you the mouth-watering, button-popping Roadhouse Diner experience.

Starting at 11am (except Sundays where we serve breakfast until closing), we serve lunch – some of the best burgers around, but we don’t stop there – we offer a variety of other menu items, like the classic Hussman’s or a authentic cheesesteak. Each meal is served with a side of house-made Roadhouse Fries that can easily be upgraded with cheese for the discerning customer.

The contest will pit contestants against the ‘Road Hawg’ burger and fries – all of which must be consumed within 10 minutes. The contestant with the fastest time will be declared the winner. Glory is not the only thing at stake here; the winner will be awarded a $500 cash prize and take home the Roadhouse Diner Burger Eatin’ Challenge Championship Belt!

Entry fee is $25 and includes your meal and Roadhouse T-shirt. DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS SUNDAY MAY 22, 2016
